As part of my AirAsia Unlimited Pass, I headed down to Krabi, took a minivan for only 150 THB to Ao Nang beach and began a vacation that ended up turning into an EXCELLENT week of reflection, prioritization, thinking, planning and gratitude.

I took a nice long motorbike ride up through the mountains of Koh Phangan to the North East side to one of the many awesome little village with pristine sand; a beach paradise.
Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach is where I gratefully ended up.
However, during this experience I was reminded of just how detrimental all of this global nonsense has been on the tourism industry. Its especially noticable when in a village that is about 95% reliant on Foreign Tourism. With Thailand’s borders still closed the result is ZERO people on beaches. That part I like. During this walk and talk I thought I’d take you into a “ghost resort”. I really hope that these people in this town can survive through this and end up in a more prosperous time soon.
BUT, of course, smoking Hope-ium rarely has concrete results.
So, join me for a walk along the beach and I’ll look forward to hearing your thoughts, opinions and experience!
