I headed for about an hour-long mtorobike ride, essentially South from Kamala Beach. To the “end of the road” which brough me to AO SANE BEACH and the Ao Sane Bungalows and Restaurant.
I sat, had some coffee, smiled like crazy, had a mini-gratitude attack and then went for a walk down the little beach to take a look at the SUPER CHEAP BUNGALOWS, Right By The Beach!!!!
What a cool little place.
I even made a new friend in a Very Fuzzy Golden Retriever! MAN with all that fur, they must be VERY HOT!!!! Seems like a pretty nice life though 🙂

During a ride up to Bang Tao beach to just hang out, I happened upon a place called Palm Seaside. Walked in, straight toward the table closest to the beach and BLAM: Ordered a Mango Smoothie!

POST Gratitude Attack, I hopped back on the motorbike and actually made it to my initial destination for the day: Nai Yang Beach (Hat Nai Yang) which is right in from of the inbound flight path for Phuket International Airport (HKT)
Its always been a cool experience for me to watch any planes really – its amazing it actually works, right!!!???
To get there, I go to enter the Sirinat National Park (some more info here: https://www.thainationalparks.com/sirinat-national-park )
So, ANOTHER win and ability to experience more of Thailand’s beauty, right next to the beach!

Phuket is REEEEALLY starting to become a VERY happy place for me. PLUS, it is one of the few places where entering the Kingdom of Thailand and Quarantining, could be a very strong option for when Gracie will come here, AND where I might return to if/when I exit Thailand to explore other parts of the world.
The good (read as: GREAT) news is that Thailand seems to be on a trajectory of “opening”. Visa exempt arrival is now (as of ~13-Dec-2020) allowed for passport holders of the 56 countries that have been able to enter this way. There is still the “14 day quarantine” requirement but there is a high likelihood that this coming week will bring the addition of 15 days to the 30 day (visa exempt) entry stamp. Allowing for 45 days in country. This 45 day “window” has been a time when “longer-term” stayers will then go to Thai Immigration and pay the 1900 THB to extend for another 30 days.
Good news seems to be in the future for MANY!

Greetings and Aloha.
I got (gratefully) distracted after only about 5 minutes of a “planned” 30 minute drive by on of my favorite signs: A old piece of wood, nailed to a post, hand-painted with the word “Beach” on it.
So, the ride I had planned from Kamala, south, to Karon and Kata got pleasantly detoured at HUA BEACH!
A thought popped into my mind based on a few chats I’ve had over the last few days and weeks while interfacing with Expats. The thought of what I view as “intentional drama”. I noticed this behavior with Expats in Mexico, the Philippines as well as Thailand and it gave me pause and created some degree of empathy for the folks that seem to be fueled by negative thoughts and discussions. SO, I just thought I’d share some thoughts… along with a TON more beauty that is the ever-expanding discovery of AWESOME here in Phuket… One beach at a Time!

With the previous success of the Drive’n’Chat videos I was able to to by strapping the GoPro Hero 9 Black on to my motorbike and just cruising around, I thought I’d do some more of that while here in Phuket.
On this
